MANIC PANIC® PILLARBOX RED™ is like a true "fire engine" red. To get your hair color as vivid as our Dyehard Eva (pictured at left, top photos) it is essential to bleach your hair first using MANIC PANIC® Flash Lightning®. This color will also take well on processed hair (colored, permed, etc.) IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BLEACH: Natural blonde hair may get good results without bleaching if you leave the hair color in for extended period of time, cap your head, and add some heat. Darker hair may also get a nice highlight from this shade. ALWAYS DO A TEST STRIP FIRST to see if this method works for you....hair must be porous or rendered porous prior to coloring.hair .

EVA'S PERSONAL TIPS:.."I only wash my hair in cold water once a week. and I add a little bit of Pillarbox Red dye after every wash to keep it bright. I leave it on about 30 minutes then rince it out & add conditioner. My hair is naturally black so I have to go to a salon to get my roots bleached. Make sure you don't stand up in the shower when you wash your hair or your skin will get dyed on your back! I lean over a sink to wash my hair.Thats about it...just keep adding dye on every time you wash it!"
