What I look for in a hair dye is "fade-ability" because, let's face it, I don't want to dye my hair every week. I want to spend as little time on it as possible so I have more time to enjoy it!. SHOCKING BLUE™ is not only a super sexy deep-jewel blue that practically glows in the sun, but if I've been playing hard, swimming, going to the beach, or using excessive hairspray (as always) the color even FADES to an attractive shade! Every other brand's blue I've used fades horribly! MANIC PANIC does it best! HOW'S SHE DO IT? "So what I do is bleach all the wholesomeness & goodness out of my hair. I don't use shampoo after bleaching b/c it might have moisturizers in it and you want your hair to be thirsty! I apply liberal amounts of SHOCKING BLUE™ and tie a bandana around my head. Hair dye days are usually laundry/cleaning days so I can look dumb and not worry about it. I leave the dye on for 24 hours and DO NOT SHAMPOO IT OUT! Only condition. Shampoo and hairspray strip the color." |

I used it 3 weeks ago and I wash my hair every day with color protection shampoo and haircare - and the color is still bright and lushly! I bleached my hair first. But I was just so satisfied with the intensity of this colour that it was the only thing that really expressed how I felt about myself at the time. This photo was taken with my phone a MONTH (after dyeing) - and as you can see, it washed out very little...I was shocked.
