VAMPIRE™ RED
VAMPIRE RED™ is one of MANIC PANIC's most notorious hair colors.
It is available in three MANIC PANIC Hair Color formulas: Gel Formula, Classic Cream Formula, and Amplified Cream Formula.

Gels tend to be slightly more dense and may last a little longer than the Classic Creams. Creams have the added bonus of being in a conditioner base. Amplified Cream Formula is the strongest and longest lasting of the three.

This bold color, when applied to bleached or pre-lightened hair will be a striking, deep "bloody" red. This color is chock full of pigment and will give a bold highlight to darker and natural hair.

HELENA tells us: "I have dyed several of my friends' hair with Manic Panic (including Mikaels - see Shocking Blue) and we all have the prettiest hair in Norrkoping, Sweden". About her MANIC PANIC Hair Color she says: "I have tried many different hairdye-brands, but none of the ones which were available in "weird" colors came out very good. UNTIL I discovered MANIC PANIC"!
Here's another lovely example of VAMPIRE RED™ on Mandy from Canada.

HOW'D SHE DO IT? "Since Vampire Red I've been through many colours, but I always come back to my favorite. Of course I used the Flashlightning bleaching kit as step one, (a MUST if you want your colour to startle strangers everywhere). Then I simply followed directions, adding a few extra hours for the dye to really sink in before washing it out. After it dryed I brandished scissors and gave myself a haircut to celebrate my lovely new colour, resulting in the brightest head in town!"

VAMPIRE RED™ ON NATURAL HAIR WITHOUT PRE-BLEACHING
All the way from romantic Rome Italy comes a tip from this Dyehard, the lovely Gemma. She sports waist-length UNBLEACHED Vampire™ Red hair. She writes us: "I used an entire jar of Vampire™ Red cream dye on unbleached hair after having washed it. Then I pinned the hair to the top of my head, covered it with a plastic bag, and left the dye on for two hours, applying heat with a hairdryer avery now and then. The result is perfect and I didn't need any extra help at all!".
IT'S WHAT WE CALL "A STUNNING HIGHLIGHT"
HOW'D SHE DO IT?
Our Dyehard Shaunia writes "my hair was already pre-lightened so all I did was add the Vampire Red to my hair and let it sit for about two and a half hours. The result was a very beautiful deep red on my once orange hair! That was my first time using MANIC PANIC and it won't be the last . I love MANIC PANIC!"
Our Dyehard Rachel writes us that every time she uses MANIC PANIC she always gets many compliments on her hair. At left she used Vampire Red over fading , multicolored MANIC PANIC hair.
HOW'D SHE DO IT?
"I left it on overnight and washed it out in the morning. Because it doesn't damage your hair you can leave it in as long as possible for better color".
HOW'D SHE DO IT?
Dyehard Diva writes us "I LOVE your product! I did the Vampire Red~I lightened my hair and applied the Vampire Red, went outside with a towel over my hair and chatted with neighbors, came in for a few hours. Total time hair was wrapped in towel..4-5!  Color was perfect!!"
DYEHARD TIP: "OXY laundry cleans up all messes even on hands!"
HOW'D SHE DO IT?
"H
ere is how I dye my hair: First I used two packs of Flashlightning bleach volume 40 and let it sit for an hour. After my hair turned to a pale yellow,
I rinsed out the bleach and shampooed with Head's and Shoulders (recommended from my hairdresser) and then towel dried. Then my dad applied the VAMPIRE RED with his hands (wearing gloves) then wrapped it up in "cling wrap". I sleep with the dye on, then rinse it out quickly so not to loose any color, and put in conditioner. To make sure the colour stays, I put in some dye into my shampoo."
DYEHARD TIP: " The color stays in MUCH better if you sleep with the dye in your hair. Make sure to put the dye on THICK and if you have longer hair use 2 jars of dye and bleach. "
FUN FACT:
Our Dyehard Cliff took this photo at right with a Tim Horton's cup in her mouth to show that she is Canadian.
VAMPIRE RED™ is now available in our new AMPLIFIED™ Formula
that's stronger and longer lasting!
Webmistress note: VAMPIRE RED™ may be darker than depicted in some of these shots. Red dyes tend to reflect the light of the flash, making the color brighter in some photographs.
