PRETTY FLAMINGO
|
|
|
|
PRETTY FLAMINGO is available in MANIC PANIC® Classic Cream formula exclusively.
PRETTY FLAMINGO like the bird it is named after is exotic and exciting!
This is a warm, orange toned pink.
This color should be applied to bleached or prelightened hair for best results.
On natural light blonde hair this color may work well if left in hair for extra processing time.

| HOW'D SHE DO IT? Annie writes us: "My hair is naturally light, so the bleaching process was fairly painless. I used a 30 volume bleach ... and it in for about 30 minutes, and washed it out using Biosilk conditioner. I recommend this particular brand, as no other hair product I’ve used has managed to return my bleached hair to a semblance of it’s natural consistency. I’m told shampoo should not be used for 75 hours after bleaching. Following this, I waited till my hair was dry, and applied Pretty Flamingo pink. My hair comes a bit below my shoulder blades, and the first time it took two bottles to do the job, but the second time one worked fine. After leaving the dye in for 30 minutes, I blow dried it, washed it out, and vola! Instant "my little pony"." |

HOW'D SHE DO IT? Kimi uses Pretty Flamingo religiously and writes us: I get my blonde highlights done at a salon, simply because they're too complex for me to attempt at home. That night I paint on Pretty Flamingo with a hair coloring brush: my hair is extremely thick and coarse so it takes me 3 containers. After my hair is completely saturated with color, I put on a conditioning cap (looks like aluminum foil) to keep the heat in. I use my hair dryer in 10 minute increments 2 or 3 times. Then I wrap a towel around the cap as if i just got out of the shower and I sleep with the color in overnight. The deep color lasts me around 5 weeks before it starts fading, however I get lots of compliments on the lighter pink.
TIPS: I use a dry shampoo throughout the week so I only have to shampoo my hair in the shower (using cool water) so frequently. |

| HOW'D SHE DO IT? Our Dyehard at left writes us: "First I bleached my hair with a 30 volume developer for an hour and a half (my hair is naturally dark brown). I shampooed the bleach out but did not condition. Then I blow dried my hair completely and added the dye. I left the dye in for about two hours (with a plastic grocery bag on my head), then I blow dried my hair with the dye in it until it was completely dry, combing at the same time. Then I rinsed and conditioned! The extra blow drying really helps the color penetrate and hold longer." |
